The Gachiakuta Stage Play, an adaptation of Kei Urana's manga, has been forced to cancel its remaining performances after lead actor Hikaru Imamaki suffered a torn meniscus during a performance. Imamaki, who portrays the character Rudo, will withdraw from the show to focus on his recovery. The production committee, along with Imamaki's agency, made the decision after consulting with medical professionals. Actor Ryota Kamiya will step in to replace Imamaki, and performances will resume on Friday afternoon. The stage play is set to run at Stellar Ball in Tokyo until May 31 and at Rohm Theater in Kyoto from June 5 to 7. The play features a talented cast, including Yuta Tachibana, Yū Fukuzawa, Sena, and more. Go Ueki is directing, Watashiomu is writing the script, and KEN THE 390 is handling the music. The manga, launched in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2022, has been licensed by Kodansha USA Publishing for an English release. The anime adaptation, which debuted in Japan in July 2025, is also getting a second season. This cancellation is a setback for the production, but the show's team is determined to provide a memorable experience for those who attend the remaining performances.
